My Rating: 4 Stars

FBI Agent Tori Peterson returns to her hometown in California following her sister’s murder. Tori is convinced that there are factors at play to keep her from discovering the ones responsible. She intends to work this case, but that means working with her former boyfriend, Ryan Bradly, a police detective. She left him to follow a career across the country and he hasn’t forgotten that.
Soon Tori is also in the crosshairs of a murderer. Can Ryan keep her safe? Do they have a future?

Once again Elizabeth Goddard has written a great suspense novel. And this one is the start of a series! She keeps us guessing until the very end, too. Recommended.

My Rating: 5 Stars!

‘Don’t worry about me, Grace. I’m a big boy and this ain’t my first rodeo.’

Two years ago, Hollister Montgomery pulled a nearly dead woman out of a Mississippi riverbank. Her named her Grace Thackery and sat with her for six months while she was in a coma. Now, she lives and works in the small town of Cottonwood, and volunteers with him at his job as a SAR person. Life is good, except Grace can’t remember anything at all about her life. Then something happens that propels them both into a dangerous life. Apparently, Grace’s life was not just a nice, happy-go-lucky life. Some really bad people want her dead. And Hollis determines to keep her safe.

I love Jessica Patch’s suspenseful books! She is great at what she does and she does it well indeed here. I enjoyed every single minute of this book. We also get to meet some folks from previous books. Can I say Wilder Flynn? Yes! Patch takes her readers along for this hair raising ride into the realm of covert activities, spies and danger around every corner and nearly every straight away. Do not miss this one, folks. Highly recommended.
