Review: ‘Rancher’s Refuge’ (Whisper Falls) by Linda Goodnight

About The Book

Rancher Austin Blackwell knows a wounded creature when he sees one. Although Annalisa Keller won’t reveal how she ended up stranded in Whisper Falls, his conscience refuses to let her leave. The little Ozarks town could be the perfect place for her to start over—just as it was for him. Trying to keep his own past hidden, Austin finds himself falling for the vulnerable beauty with too many secrets. Before long, Annalisa’s warmth and love of life work their way into Austin’s heart…and promise never to leave.

NY Times and USA Bestseller, Linda Goodnight writes novels of faith and family that point to hope through Christ. Her emotional stories have won the RITA , the Carol, the Reviewer’s Choice, and numerous other industry awards. Her two great passions are faith in Jesus and her large extended family. (And pie. she loves pie.)

My Rating: 4 Stars!
I recently discovered Linda Goodnight and fell in love with her books. I’ve read three in the last two weeks! I am on my way through her backlist and having such fun doing it. This one features a cowboy, and I do love a good cowboy story. Finding an injured woman on his land, rancher, Austin Blackwell, takes her to his house which he shares with his sister. The woman has clearly been beaten up, but will she confide in him so he can help her?

I love Goodnight’s work very much and I can absolutely recommend her highly.
