‘No Matter the Cost’ (The Epic Story of RJ and York, Book 3) by Susan May Warren

About The Book
She put her hand to her chest, still unable to breathe.
He had dark hair and a beard, ripped pants, a dirty suit coat and wore such an intense expression of pursuit on his face, she just knew—
He was going after Alan Martin.
And she might never see him again.
No. Not again.
Not ever again.
He passed her, didn’t even look at her, his gaze pinned on Martin, who’d vanished down the stairs.
And that’s when she found her voice. With everything inside her, she let it out, praying he heard it through his haze of fury.
“York!”

Her worst nightmare has happened….

RJ refuses to believe it, and until she has proof, she’s going to keep searching for answers. And most of all, for the man she loves, even if it means diving into the past he always wanted to keep secret.

The kind of secrets that could have set York free. It’ll take a trip back to Russia, to the sketchy and dark history of York’s life to find the clues to the sinister plans of a global terrorist. And the answers that might lead her to a happy ending.

Or has it? What if her happy ending is more than a dream?

If RJ hopes to save her country—and find out the truth about York—she’ll have to become the high-action, Sydney Bristow spy that she always dreamed of being. But really, does RJ really have what it takes—with, or without the man she loves—to save the world?

And if she does…what will be the cost?

The riveting conclusion to the Epic Story of RJ and York!

About Susan May Warren
Growing up in Minneapolis and attending the U of MN, I learned to love city life, although I’m a woodsy girl at heart. Or maybe I’m an adventurer — having lived and traveled all over the world, including Siberia Russia as a missionary for eight years. Probably that’s why my characters can’t sit still, and seem to get into one scrape after another — they’re too much like me! I love God, my family, my country, my church, and feel privileged every day to be able to write stories.
Here’s my “Official” Bio.
With over 1 million books sold, critically acclaimed novelist Susan May Warren is the Christy, RITA and Carol award-winning author of over seventy-five novels with Revell, Tyndale, Barbour, Steeple Hill and Summerside Press. Known for her compelling plots and unforgettable characters, Susan has written contemporary and historical romances, romantic-suspense, thrillers, rom-com and Christmas novellas.
With books translated into eight languages, many of her novels have been ECPA and CBA bestsellers, were chosen as Top Picks by Romantic Times, and have won the RWA’s Inspirational Reader’s Choice contest and the American Christian Fiction Writers Book of the Year award.
Of her books, Publisher’s Weekly has written, “Warren lays bare her characters’ human frailties, including fear, grief, and resentment, as openly as she details their virtues of love, devotion, and resiliency. She has crafted an engaging tale of romance, rivalry, and the power of forgiveness.”
And Library Journal adds, “Warren’s characters are well-developed and she knows how to create a first rate contemporary romance…”
Susan is also a nationally acclaimed writing coach, teaching at conferences around the nation and winner of the 2009 American Christian Fiction Writers Mentor of the Year award. She loves to help people launch their writing careers and is the founder of Novel.Academy and http://www.LearnHowtoWriteaNovel.com, a writing website that helps authors get published and stay published. She’s also the author of the popular writing method, The Story Equation.

My Rating: 5 Stars!
‘Maybe that’s what this whole adventure had been about, frankly. Trusting God, not just for the end game, but for every step. When she couldn’t see her next step, when it all threatened to wash over her, pull her under. When all she could see was darkness.’

I really don’t even know how to begin this review. Not only for No Matter the Cost, but the entire three book series. I read each book in on day. I will never tire of reading a book by Susan May Warren. I love Christian fiction and I read it not only to read a good book, but to be blessed by the spiritual thread, and nobody does that better than her. I’ve always said that she takes me to church with her books. It’s true. This one, with one quote, ministered to me so much. I love when this happens!

RJ and York. What can I say? One of the best fictional couples ever, that’s what. The love Warren has crafted between these two is absolutely amazing to see on the pages of a book. She allows us to see inside their very souls. When I finished this last book in the series, I just I just sat there, my heart so incredibly full. Not to mention the absolutely terrifying action-packed scenes! I mean, how many times can a character escape danger? I’m a huge suspense fan and this is edge of your seat all the way, over the top! I was gasping so much, clutching my heart at other times. Well done!

These are for the keeper shelf and destined to be read over again and again. Bravo!

My thanks to the publisher for a copy of this book. The opinion in this review is expressly my own.
