My Rating: 5 Stars!
‘She knew her fears were irrational, but that didn’t stop them from being real for her.’ Virginia Vaughan brings us book four in her Covert Operatives book and it’s the best yet! FBI agent Lucy Sanderson is asked to profile the Back Roads Killer by Bruce Tippett to prove his brother innocent. Then someone begins stalking Lucy as she is getting her profile ready. Bruce, a single dad, has taken on the job of protecting Lucy, while trying to help her with her profile. Clues lead places neither one suspected and it’s become a full time job trying to keep from being killed as Lucy gets closer and closer to the culprit. This book starts off with a bang and continues all the way through. This one is a suspense filled ride right into a heinous crime spree of a serial killer. I just couldn’t stop reading! Vaughan’s best yet! I thought I had figured out the culprit, then I didn’t, then I did, etc. This one will keep you guessing while at the same time holding you hostage to the suspense. Highly recommended. *My thanks to the author for a preview copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. (less) | |
